Geneo Facial
Geneo is the ultimate facial treatment for achieving fresh, healthy and natural-looking skin.
It is the only device on the market offering unique, three-in-one action that combines Oxygeneo, ultrasound and Neo-Massage technologies.
What is a Geneo Facial?
This rejuvenating treatment works on both the surface of the skin and deep within it to provide lasting results. The process involves exfoliation of the outer skin layer, natural skin oxygenation with oxygen produced by the skin itself, and an ultrasound and Neo-Massage infusion of powerful natural compounds from Pollogen’s unique Geneo OxyPods and Geneo Serums.
The benefits of the Geneo Facial are that it plumps, hydrates and brightens skin while shrinking the appearance of pores. Targeted Geneo Facials can considerably improve skin texture, eliminating roughness from sun damage, aging and acne. Geneo Facials can also reduce hyperpigmentation for a more even tone. Other benefits of these facials include antiaging, improved elasticity and deep hydration.
The Process
Your Geneo Facial will be customized to your skin type, existing conditions and overall skincare goals. Each Geneo facial consists of two main phases: the exfoliation and oxygenation phase and the infusion phase.

Phase 1
The first step in your Geneo facial will be the application of the Geneo Gel Primer. Next, your aesthetician will run a wand holding the OxyPod over the surface of your skin. This sets off a gentle, non-invasive exfoliation using the reaction between the Primer gel and the OxyPod. It also triggers CO2 production and induces the skin to start producing oxygen on its own.
Phase 2
For the infusion step, your aesthetician will apply a natural serum to your exfoliated, oxygenated and freshly cleansed skin. A different wand using ultrasound and Neo-Massage technology will gently massage the serum, helping it penetrate for maximum nourishment and hydration.
Every client emerges feeling refreshed and relaxed after our Geneo Facial treatments, and you don’t have to schedule any downtime afterward either!
Types of Geneo Facials at Malibu MedSpa
Your aesthetician will recommend a specific Geneo Facial depending on your skincare objectives and the issues you are facing. Your treatment may also be combined with other regimens or products to amplify and extend your positive effects.
The Geneo NeoRevive Facial
The Geneo Revive Facial is designed to smooth and tighten skin, for a revitalized look and feel that truly lasts. The treatment increases firmness and elasticity, for a smoother and more supple appearance, and it is an excellent way to refresh dull, tired skin.
It also visibly reduces fine lines and wrinkles and helps even out skin tone to diminish the signs of aging. Ideal for those seeking a more youthful appearance or those who wish to counteract the effects of sun damage, the Revive facial is appropriate for all skin types and ages.
A combination of natural botanicals including red algae, caffeic acid, ferulic acid and retinyl palmitate help detoxify, firm and even out the skin, while edelweiss and vanilla stimulate the repair process so skin can heal.

Who are Geneo facials for?
Geneo Facials are for all ages and skin types. They are customizable can be used for every age, skincare need, and season. They are popular as a reviving and protective measure for young skin and as part of an anti-aging regimen for mature skin.
How is it different from HydraFacial?
The Geneo Facial is different from the HydraFacial in the technology it uses and in the results. Both are exfoliating facials with serums to address specific skin concerns, but the similarities end there.
The Geneo is an oxygen facial that plumps and hydrates by stimulating the skin to produce its own oxygen, while the HydraFacial is a water-based facial. The Geneo Facial also does not have the suction component of the HydraFacial, which can cause irritation.
Further, the Geneo Facial uses ultrasound and Neo-Massage technology to infuse botanical serums into the skin, while the HydraFacial lacks this essential feature. Many aestheticians report better absorption of serums with the Geneo facial, and clients report that the process is gentler, as well.
What’s are some of the active ingredients?
Geneo OxyPods and Serums contain potent bioactive ingredients, with natural sources of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants to activate cellular regeneration and the skin’s natural repair process. They include ingredients like red algae, kojic acid, prickly pear, bearberries and willow tree bark to target different skin concerns and help renew the skin.
Geneo OxyPods also contain Capsugen, composed of sodium bicarbonate and citric acid. It is the catalyzing agent that promotes the OxyGeneo CO2 production process to oxygenate skin from within.
How does the OxyGeneo process work?
Similar to what happens in natural hot springs, the OxyGeneo process accelerates the absorption and utilization of nutrients by the skin. The uniqueness of OxyGeneo technology is that it triggers oxygenation beneath the skin’s surface instead of pushing oxygen into the skin. Other oxygen facials may not penetrate as deeply and may irritate or damage skin from the pressure.
Nutrient-rich gel with dormant natural ingredients is applied to the skin and then catalyzed when it contacts the Capsugen in the Geneo pod. This creates a chemical reaction that exfoliates and generates CO2 for an infusion of healthy oxygen and penetration of natural compounds.
How often should I have treatments?
Depending on the state of your skin and the desired outcome, your Malibu MedSpa aesthetician may recommend a series of weekly sessions to realize your skincare goals.
A common treatment regimen would involve 4-6 weekly sessions followed by monthly touch-up sessions for lasting results.
How long do the treatments take?
Each Geneo facial treatment takes about 20 minutes for the procedure. The exfoliation and oxygen process lasts approximately 10 minutes, followed by a nourishing NeoMassage for topical infusion. You will likely be scheduled for a little longer than that to allow you to relax and ask any questions of your aesthetician.
Malibu MedSpa never rushes through treatments and strives to make you feel as comfortable and serene for as possible. Your happiness and beauty are the goal of everything we do.
