Dermaplaning in the Pendergrass Area
Malibu MedSpa offers dermaplaning for our clients in the greater Pendergrass area.
Dermaplaning takes deep exfoliation to the next level by removing dead skin cells and fine vellus hairs from the skin’s surface.
The treatment helps skin glow, unclogging pores and encouraging skin regeneration for a revitalized and smoother look.
What is Dermaplaning?
A dermaplane treatment differs from regular dermabrasion in that it removes peach fuzz (aka vellus hairs) in addition to the top layer of skin, for an even smoother look. This also aids in regenerative stimulation and can be desirable for those who don’t like the look of these fine facial hairs.
Malibu MedSpa is dedicated to providing the best in aesthetic medical skincare treatments to our clients in the greater Pendergrass Area. We strive to create a relaxing and spa-like atmosphere so that you will look forward to every visit.

The Dermaplaning Process at
Malibu Medspa’s Pendergrass Area Location
Expect During A Session
Your dermaplaning session will be conducted by one of our highly trained licensed aestheticians in the comfortable surroundings of a private treatment room. The process involves using medical grade scalpel with a sterile No. 10 blade held at a 45-degree angle to the skin. This safe and effective tool will be used to scrape the skin gently to reveal the soft skin surface below.
No question is ever unwelcome, and we encourage our clients to ask us anything that may be on their mind.
How often can I have dermaplaning?
Dermaplaning treatments can be scheduled every 4-6 weeks, and we can put you on the schedule at our location near Pendergrass as far in advance as you’d like. You also don’t need to plan for downtime after treatment. You can even schedule your dermaplaning right before a special event – it helps makeup go on smoother and more evenly!
Does it hurt?
Dermaplaning does not hurt – people usually describe it as a sensation of mild scraping or shaving. Many clients find the procedure quite soothing, and they love the scalp massage afterward, too.
Will it make my hair grow back thicker?
Experts say dermaplaning shouldn’t make your hair grow back darker or thicker. Hair growth is genetically programmed, and while changes in hair texture can happen as a result of hormonal changes, they do not usually result from external changes.
Is dermaplaning suitable for everyone?
Dermaplaning is safe and suitable for all types of skin. Those with active or cystic acne are urged to avoid it, and you should probably skip it if you have a cold sore or other wound on your skin.
