Laser Rejuvenation Skin Treatments in the Hoschton Area
Malibu MedSpa offers Laser Rejuvenation therapy to our clients in the greater Hoschton area.
Laser Rejuvenationis a non-surgical cosmetic procedure used to improve skin tone and skin texture.
It is often performed to correct issues with hyperpigmentation, redness or roughness and for hair removal, as well.
How Does Laser Rejuvenation Work?
Laser Rejuvenation uses light energy to target damaged cells or blood vessels in your skin. It works by heating and destroying them, getting rid of the undesirable coloration or texture you wish to treat. It also triggers a cell renewal process that rejuvenates and improves the overall look of skin.
Laser Rejuvenation can emit several different wavelengths of light at once, allowing it to treat several conditions at once. These pulses of light also stimulate collagen and elastin production to restore firmness and lost volume to skin.
Because it uses light, Laser Rejuvenation is sometimes referred to as a photofacial treatment, as well.
Laser Rejuvenation can diminish the appearance of:
- Dark or brown spots
- Broken blood vessels, including capillaries and spider veins
- Unevenness caused by sun exposure
- Scarring and stretch marks
- Texture and coloration problems caused by acne

What to
EXPECT DURING A SESSION
The Laser Rejuvenation process is simple and comfortable, and it involves minimal preparation. You will be asked to avoid sun exposure and may be advised to temporarily stop certain medications, with the consent of your doctor.
Your medical aesthetician will evaluate your skin and discuss your skin care goals during an initial consultation.
No question is ever unwelcome, and we encourage our clients to ask us anything that may be on their mind.
How many Laser Rejuvenation treatments will I need?
Most people need 3-5 treatments on average for optimal results, but you may need more or less depending on your concern. Your medical aesthetician can give you a good idea of what to expect during your initial complimentary consultation.
How often can I have Laser Rejuvenation?
Your treatments will be spaced anywhere from 2 to 6 weeks apart to allow time for maximum renewal and healing. We recommend waiting at least a few weeks between treatments to allow skin to fully heal and show signs of improvement.
Who should have Laser Rejuvenation?
Laser Rejuvenation is good for a variety of skin types, but because Laser Rejuvenation targets pigment, it is recommended for people with lighter to medium skin. Like laser treatments and other melanin-targeting therapies, it can cause skin discoloration in those with dark skin.
Inform your medical aesthetician if you are on blood thinners, if you are pregnant or if you have any other medical condition before beginning Laser Rejuvenation. You may need to postpone or explore other treatments, or take mitigating measures before you begin.
Many women like to schedule Laser Rejuvenation sessions several months post-pregnancy to address issues like brown spots from hormones, age spots, broken blood vessels and more.
How long do the results last?
For skin texture and coloration improvements, the results often last for 6 months or more. Because of the continuous effects of aging, sun exposure and hereditary factors, however, you may need to repeat your Laser Rejuvenation treatments in a year or so to maintain your positive results.
